Hidden ingredients for those with digestive health issues can really take its toll on you and set you back for several days....perhaps even longer. You need to know this and be preemptive. It's never worth a man down when throwing caution to the wind.
If you've done food sensitivity testing or if you just happen to know what it is that you cannot eat.....stay away from it. There is no need to learn the hard way....again and again and again. Know your poisons and just simply don't have them.
One of my biggest allergies is sulfites. They do a real number on me. They are definitely in alcoholic beverages. But they also naturally occur on foods that you wouldn't even think of......sulfites occur in vinegars, egg whites, chocolate, coffee, and sweet potatoes. They are also in your bath wash, shampoo, and most toothpastes. These are all foods and products that I avoid like the plague. However, occasionally there is a cross contamination that I cannot avoid.
Experiencing a set back is not necessarily a bad thing. But more of a reminder that I am responsible for my own health and wellbeing. Next time I go to a restaurant and order a salad.....I will bring my own dressing with me in my "Dressing-2-Go" Dispenser. When I am tempted to eat chocolate or eggs or drink coffee, I will look in the mirror and tell myself that I like having a clear complexion. And on those special occasions when I would love to celebrate with a glass of my favorite wine, I am reminded that being doubled over in pain is not the real way I wanted to celebrate.
Food allergies and sensitivities are serious things to have to live with. So it's best to live without them. By eliminating the foods that are contributing to your reactions, you allow time for your digestive system to heal. It is here, in your gut, where your immune system lies. And each time you consume a food or product that is off limits (for now), you set yourself back. You need to allow time for your system to heal. It takes time, it takes patience, and it takes perseverance. But it doesn't have to take your life away. Without restricting yourself to the point of feeling deprived, there are ways to heal your digestive system and get you on your way to a strong immune system, a sound digestive system, and a balanced life. Through cleansing and a gut restoration program specific to your needs, you can be on your way to health and wellness again.
