Nutrition these days is such a complex set of rules and boundaries that so many of us fear to break. We have been told that certain foods are either good or bad and that you must adhere to a specific way of eating that is structured and regimented. Every year, more diet books are published on how to lose weight and keep it off; however, we are at an all time high when it comes to obesity, diabetes, cancer, hypo/hyperthyroidism, digestive health issues, and depression than ever. You would think that with all the available information out there that we would finally be getting healthy and staying healthy.
The one thing that these programs and books fail to take into consideration is the individual. We are all so different in how we process food, our food preferences, our genetics, and our lifestyles that it is impossible to put everyone on the same plan and expect the same results. We are all unique and therefore require a unique approach geared toward our specific health goals.
Our nutritional health coaching is designed to help you reach your goals looking at not just the foods you eat, but how you process these foods. We look at food sensitivities, digestive health function, specific preferences that you have, and your lifestyle including physical activity. By adding in more whole healthy foods and crowding out the foods that are problematic, we will create a space for your physical and emotional body to heal. We also look at the integrity of your digestive system and implement some healing aids, if needed.
Coaching runs anywhere from a few sessions to several months. Working together, we will create the diet that works specifically for you, allowing you to heal internally and establish the health you are seeking.
